The European Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery has decided to promote basic or clinical research projects in the field of Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery with a Research grant available every two years.
Candidates must send their application (2 page proposal and CV) between April 1st and June 1st 2025, to the ESSFN Secretary:

The research project must address either a clinical or an experimental topic in the field of stereotactic and functional neurosurgery.
Candidates must be young neurosurgeons or neurosurgery residents/fellows with special interest/training in Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery, member of the the ESSFN and must have submitted an abstract to the meeting.
The selection will be made by an independent committee and the awardees will be notified during the congress in Budapest (24-27 September 2025).
The Research grant amount is 20.000 Euros.
The financing of the project will be progressive and distributed as follow:
- 15.000 Euros upon selection (September 2025)
- 5.000 Euros at the conclusion of the report
